Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) – Full Time/Part Time

Skills of a Technician include but are not limited to: Excellent interpersonal skills: The ability to deal positively with the public and co-workers. A positive, upbeat demeanor and patience is essential to perform successfully in this position. Technical writing skills, effective communication skills, client education in person and on the phone; organizational and time management skills, basic computer skills and knowledge of veterinary equipment, sterilization techniques and veterinary procedures, among others. This job requires technicians to be physically fit in order to handle large dogs when needed.

Specific work elements of the job as a Technician include but are not limited to: Assisting with outpatient appointments; administering vaccines and medications, blood draws, bandage changes, suture removals, etc. Interacting with clients for the purpose of; medical demonstrations/education, patient updates and follow-ups, discharge instructions.

Digital Radiology; positioning patients and taking radiographs, submitting for consults via e-mail. Laboratory duties; collecting, preparing, & running or submitting samples for requested tests; reading and recording results when indicated by doctor. Preparation for surgery; anesthesia induction, maintenance, monitoring and recovering, assisting doctor in surgery as needed. Dentistry; ultrasonic cleaning and polishing, assisting doctor with dental surgery as needed, positioning for dental radiographs.

Veterinary Client Service Representative (CSR) – Full Time/Part Time

Skills of a Veterinary CSR include but are not limited to: Excellent interpersonal skills: The ability to deal positively with the public and co-workers. A positive, upbeat demeanor and patience is essential to perform successfully in this position. Technical writing skills, effective communication skills, client education in person and on the phone; organizational and time management skills, basic computer skills ability to handle multi-line phone system; Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems; managing records, and other office procedures and terminology.

Veterinary Assistant – Full Time/Part Time

Skills of a Veterinary Assistant include but are not limited to: Excellent interpersonal skills: The ability to deal positively with the public and co-workers. A positive, upbeat demeanor and patience is essential to perform successfully in this position. Technical writing skills, effective communication skills, client education in person and on the phone; organizational and time management skills, basic computer skills and knowledge of veterinary equipment, sterilization techniques and veterinary procedures, among others. This job requires assistants to be physically fit in order to handle large dogs when needed.

Specific work elements of the job as a Veterinary Assistant include but are not limited to: Assisting with clinic appointments; restraining pets for doctors and technicians; filling and administering medication to animals based on doctor prescription; assisting the technician in the laboratory; becoming knowledgeable as to vaccine schedules and basic medications; cleaning exam rooms; maintaining supplies of clinic and taking drug inventory; assisting in radiology; maintaining cleanliness of clinic; dog walking; and helping to ensure that all patients are comfortable at all times.
