Meet Our Veterinary Team in North Kingstown

Dr. David Bergmann

Dr. Bergmann’s journey as a veterinarian began as a lifelong animal lover and pet owner. After college, he made his first career in social services, where he produced and implemented behavior and employment plans for developmentally disabled adults. With a growing inclination toward continuing his education, an uncanny talent for detailed and accurate observation, and a strong interest in veterinary medicine, he made the transition to a career as a veterinarian, attending veterinary school in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Dr. Bergmann now has over a decade of experience as a small animal practitioner in Rhode Island, and in the spring of 2014, he co-founded The Village Veterinary Center with his wife, Gioia.

Born and raised in Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C. Dr. Bergmann now makes his home in Rhode Island with Gioia and their three children, their two dogs, and three cats. When he’s not caring for his patients, Dr. Bergmann enjoys spending time with his family, sailing, cycling and mountain biking, gardening, and traveling.

It is very important to me that when I visit a veterinarian office, I see the same doctor each time. My past vet office had so many different doctors that I never felt they knew my pets very well. I know that I will always see Dr. Bergman.
